Hey there lovely sweet friends and family,

I’m raising funds to help one of the most amazing humans I’ve ever known– my partner Kae, to receive the gender-affirming care he deserves and needs by getting top surgery.

Throughout his life, Kae has been on a journey of understanding himself in an effort to feel comfortable and aligned in body and mind.

Kae has been chest binding for many many years and for those of you who don’t know, it can cause daily discomfort, shortness of breath, nerve numbness and other long-term health issues over time.

Now, after being 2 years on testosterone and jumping through all the ridiculous hoops that are part of the U.S medical system, Kae will finally be able to get top surgery on December 16th!!!

This is an exciting and emotional moment for him, and I’m asking our community to help support his recovery so that he can heal properly from this major surgery.

Luckily the surgery itself will be fully covered thanks to Medicaid (CT Husky Health), however, there will be many additional costs that come with post-op recovery that the funds raised will go to support:

-additional medical fees and provider visits

-post-surgery supplies + medicine

- paying rent, monthly bills + expenses ( Kae won’t be able to work during this time!)

Any additional funds will go towards helping Kae to be able to legally change his name, this process is a lot more financially tasking as Kae was not born in the United States and no longer has access to his U.S naturalization papers.
