As many of you know, my family’s summer did not go the way we had planned or expected. I had intended to work various jobs this summer to help make up for the lack of income when school is not in session (I work on campus as a writing tutor), but those plans were derailed by a child’s hospitalization, flares of several of my own diseases including a new diagnosis called avascular necrosis which kept me in bed in extreme pain for a month. We are now hurting financially. 

My long term plan to to set my beloved work, TheShapeofaMother.com aside and aim to find a full time job with benefits. Building a business, especially in a virtually unheard of field, is too much work while I have to manage all of our health situations as well. Poverty is toxic and it’s making all of us so much sicker than we need to be. 

In the short term, however, we need some
help catching up on bills. My parents have already helped me so much this year and I am hoping that I can be financially self-sufficient very soon. If you can help us catch up, it would be so helpful. Right now the primary goal is to get caught up on HOA payments and perhaps a few other bills. Also, willing to accept leads for good work that can support us. 

Thank you all so so much for helping us through this hard time in life. I hope and plan to get back to SOAM someday, but right now our health must be the priority.
