Kacey Novello's Accident

Our sweet Kacey was in a horrible car accident yesterday afternoon, (Thursday, February 13) in which has put her in the ICU at Inova Trauma Center in Reston VA. She was heading to babysit, and her car lost control and she wrecked into a rock wall. She has Weston in the car with her and he is fine, thank god for car seats. He was with her that day for sure because she is alive. She has suffered a shattered ankle, a broken sternum, 9 broken ribs, multiple facial fractures which will require multiple surgeries. She is being monitored right now before they can do any major surgeries due to a large laceration to her liver. They want to make sure she doesn’t have any infections. Once they get the answers, they need then we will know more as to where they will start. She lost a lot of blood and may need to have a blood transfusion. The did do a 3-hour surgery yesterday to repair the wound on her ankle. She is going to be in the hospital for quite some time.

For those that know Kacey, she is a loving and devoted mother to sons Jaxon (6) and Weston (18 moths). She stays home with them and babysits to make a second income. Howie, the children’s father, has been at the hospital since yesterday. This tragic accident has put a lot of financial burden on them. I am putting together this go fund me page for them to help with unexpected expenses, loss of work, medical bills but most of all to help with groceries, diapers, milk and anything else they need for the kids and Kacey. The family and I will be posting updates on her journey through what aren’t going to be easy, but she is surrounded by family and friends to help as much as we can.
