I am Dick's wife. I have been battling metastatic breast cancer for a while now, first at the Mayo and then Ironwood.

After a 5-month battle with our GP and dermatologist, who would NOT help get scans for Dick's neck performed or send him to an oncologist for the node growing in his lungs, we finally found a GP who did so. Today, we met with his oncologist at Ironwood Cancer Center on Dobson Road in Mesa, AZ. Sadly, the results were as I expected. He stated it appears we have an aggressive cancer here.

Dick will require MANY tests over the course of the next several weeks and will be hospitalized in a few days for a biopsy. He also has a full-body PET scan ordered, and the copays are high. I have NOTHING left, thanks to my own cancer which destroyed me financially. Therefore, I am turning for HELP, not judgment. Help.
