During my last trip to Nepal (my country of birth) in Nov 2016, we came across Kabir Orphanage Home(Kabir Bal Ashram) in Janakpur. This orphanage goal is to "save the life of unwanted/abandoned children having no family". At the time of our visit, they were raising 7 girls and 2 boys ( from age 2 months old to about 8). Almost all were abandoned in fields/ditch and were brought to Ashram.
This Orphanage ( Sadguru Kabir Anath Bal Watshlya Ashram) is founded by Sant Alok ( Satya Narayan Alok) and located near Gyankoop School in Janakpur, Nepal. It was heartwarming to see these kids getting second chance on life. Sant Alok and volunteers has been working diligently in taking care of these kids. Sant Alok also has undertaken "public awareness campaign" to educate people about sanctity of life and not to abandon the babies.
Sant Alok has long term vision to address this social/moral/ethical issues in our society. There are lot of needs for such effort. However, there is immediate need to complete the building structures where these kids are currently living.
In order to help complete the building infrastructure of kids and continue public awareness program; Nita and I are requesting our friends to donate whatever money you can afford for this noble cause. I will personally manage any donation received for this cause and make sure it is put to great use. Our goal is to raise $5,000 by January 15th.
We appreciate your help. Please email me at [email redacted] if you have any questions.
