Our family is going through something we never could have imagined. What started as what we believed was just sciatica pain has turned into a devastating cancer diagnosis—one that is not curable.
A few months ago, Chris began complaining of pain in his lower back and leg. We all assumed it was sciatica, something that could be managed with therapy, rest, or medication. But as the days went by, the pain only got worse. He struggled to walk, couldn’t sleep, and was in constant discomfort. We watched him go back and forth to the ER, doctor after doctor, each time hoping for answers. After three long weeks of being hospitalized, we got one—but it wasn’t the one we were praying for.
He was diagnosed with cancer. And by the time they found it, it had already spread. The words non-curable were the hardest thing to hear. Our hearts broke. Our worlds changed in an instant.
He has since been hospitalized for weeks. He’s endured painful procedures, battling pneumonia, fluid drainages, biopsies, scans, and so much more. Still, he fights with everything he has. Despite the pain and fear, he’s remained strong and brave because that’s who he is. Watching someone you love go through so much while trying to stay hopeful is one of the hardest things to endure. We as a family are doing everything we can to make sure he is surrounded by love, support, and peace.
Chris is one of the kindest, most selfless people you could ever meet. He has worked hard his entire life, helped everyone around him, and now he deserves to be cared for with the same love and compassion he has always shown others.
We are humbly asking for support—anything you’re able to give or help with:
- Medical expenses
- Transportation and travel for family
- Living costs while he cannot work
- Time together as a family without the financial burden
We are beyond grateful for every ounce of love and support that has already been shown. We are trying to take this one day at a time, holding on to each moment we still have together. This has been an emotionally and financially draining journey for the family. Every donation, every share, every prayer—it all makes a difference. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this and keeping him in your thoughts.
We are still holding onto faith, even in the hardest moments. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for walking beside us during this incredibly painful and uncertain time.
