Gary needs a bike n' stuff

Ok folks this is not a joke.
I've known Gary for a long time. Although we went to the same schools and had similar friends, and that I always really appreciated his gently twisted humor we have not, in all honesty been close friends.
I was really happy to reconnect and have him among my Facebook friends. His comments on a regular basis make me either smile or laugh out right. I have to say when he mentioned that he was struggling with MS I felt genuiely surprised and saddened. In typical Gary style, and I assure you this since he was a teenager, he makes light of it... mostly.
If only for all the smiles he brings to us (I am certain there are many other reasons) I would like to propose an idea to you all ... in light of the fact that his Indoor bike broke, that the bike he was given was then stolen and that he got his car towed. I thought we might all help him out. He has over 600 contacts if we all offer him the equivalent of a modest dinner out (USD 20.-) there is enough to maybe buy one fo these indoor bikes I saw, pay for the tow fees and maybe buy a better street bike to get to work and a helmut if he doesn't have one.
I hope you're all up for it! :-)
This is the best rated indoor bike I found:

From his facebook posting
"So to summarize:
Stationary Bike Breaks
I get a real bike given to me
It gets two flat tires on successive days
I drive again and my car gets towed
I put money for quality tires on the bike
I struggle but get the strength to make it to and from work (I have MS so this is challenging for new)
Bicycle gets stolen"
