Clarks Medical Bills

Hi all!

My name is Katelyn, and this gofundme is for my cat Clark.

I adopted Clark from the Guelph Humane Society back in Jan 2020, and he has been my best friend ever since. For people who know Clark, they know him as a rambunctious, affectionate, special little kitty with some quirks.

When I adopted Clark, his medical history was already a bit extensive (he was close to being euthanized for suspected brain cancer, but turned out to be just an old brain injury- plus is partially blind due to an anterior synechiae in his left eye). He remained relatively stable for the first year, then he got diagnosed with Feline Immunicity virus, which has increased his susceptibility to infections greatly.

Due to his weakened immune system, in the past year Clark has been diagnosed with Feline idiopathic cystitis (FIC), which has landed him in the emergency vet twice, and most recently, he has developed feline chronic bronchitis, which is inflammation of the lungs. We are still currently working on a diagnosis as to what specifically is causing his lungs to get inflamed, but the next steps for him is to get an inhaler. For his condition, he is on specialized medical food, as well as the medication he has to take daily.

I love this cat with all my heart, but vet bills are expensive. In the past year, he has cost me over 5000 in emergency vet bills, on top of the ~150 dollars a month I'm spending on his food and medication.

Money from this fundraiser will go to help get Clark more diagnostic testing, as well as to pay off my credit card from the last emergency vet visit.

I want to make it clear that Clark will be getting whatever diagnosis and treatment that he needs, regardless if I raise funds or not, it just will help me not have to pick up another side job ( I currently have 3 lol)
