Please Help My Mom Kristie Beat Cancer
Donation protected
My name is Austin and I am raising money to help my mom who has a rare form of aggressive cancer called Leiomyosarcoma. She needs money for doctor bills, treatments not covered by insurance, and daily expenses. I want to make sure she doesn’t have to worry about money, so she can focus all her energy on staying alive. I CAN NOT lose her.
My mom and I are probably as close as any mother and son can be. I am an only child and my dad was not in the picture. But my mom was ALWAYS there for me making sure I had everything I needed and many things I just wanted.
She became very sick right before I graduated high school and it ended up being uterine cancer. Her doctors were able to remove it at the time, but the chances of it coming back were very high. (Just to emphasize how much she is always there for me; she was in the ICU on Wednesday and still made it to my graduation ceremony on Sunday.) For a year and a half, life was good. During my first semester of Sophomore year at college, her cancer came back with a vengeance. I returned home to spend more time with her and help her during treatments.
Throughout the last two years I have watched her lose her hair twice, have days she is so sick she can’t move without throwing up, and have a tumor larger than a basketball removed from her body. Yet through it all she is still ALWAYS there for me and she continues to fight with everything she has. She is the strongest person I know. I help her as much as I am able, but she needs more money than I can provide right now.
Last week she received devastating news from her latest scan. Her doctors have no more hope to give and have suggested we bring in hospice.
We are now looking into alternative medical treatments and specialists from other parts of the country. But these things all require money. And if the absolute worst thing I can imagine does happen and we run out of treatment options, I would like her last days to be spent surrounded by peace and love. I don’t want her to experience one second of worry over things like money.
I know my story is not unique. Cancer devastates so many lives all over the world every day. But, for me, my mom is my world. Every donation would be so appreciated and make a life changing difference for us. Thank you!
