Help Max Get a Car
Donation protected
On September 9th I received the call that no parent ever want to get “Your son has been in a car accident…”
While driving home from work Max stuck an elk on the highway going approximately 70 mph. The details of the crash are unknown due to Max sustaining a head injury. A Good Samaritan stopped to provide aid and call for paramedics. Max was rushed to a level one trauma hospital where doctors were shocked he wasn’t more injured than he was based on the severity of the accident and the fact that for unknown reasons his airbags did not deploy.
What we do know is that the elk was massive with a 6 point rack. When Max hit the elk it rolled up the hood, smashed the windshield and its antlers hooked the roof of the car and peeled it back. It’s a miracle he is alive. Max’s car was absolutely totaled. He has spent the last 9 months working as many hours as he could while maintaining a full school load and focusing on his music. He plays the alto saxophone in the marching band and symphonic band. Max saved every penny to reinvest into his car. He learned how to do as much as he could on his own. He is devastated by the loss of the car but is thankful to be alive.
Due to the nature of the accident and the insurance coverage we had we are not getting any type of compensation or assistance. I know times are tough for everyone but if you can donate anything it will make a difference in helping Max get a new (and safer) car. Thank you for taking the time to read this. ❤️
