Hello, my name is Taneisha Johnson Lewis, and I am a proud Jamaican who now lives and serves my community as a Social Worker and Director of an Assisted Living Facility in the United States. My life’s purpose has always been centered around helping others — supporting families, caring for the elderly, and giving back to those in need.

Today, I am asking for your support for the people of Jamaica, my homeland, which has been devastated by the catastrophic Hurricane Melissa. This powerful storm has left many families unhoused, without food, and struggling to survive. Homes have been destroyed, communities have been displaced, and countless lives have been forever changed.

This fundraiser is about compassion, unity, and hope. Every dollar raised will go directly toward helping those affected — providing food, clean water, clothing, temporary shelter, and essential supplies to rebuild their lives.

No amount is too small. Together, we can bring comfort, relief, and restoration to those who need it most. Your kindness will help make a real difference for families who have lost everything.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your love, prayers, and support for Jamaica during this heartbreaking time.

With gratitude and faith,

Taneisha Johnson Lewis, MSW
