K9 Halligan & Corporal Allen

As many of you may know, on May 5, 2023, Officer Daniel Allen and his K9, Halligan, of the Oxford NC police department, were both injured when responding to an active shooter incident. Halligan was struck several times while inside his handler’s vehicle and required extensive surgeries to remove shrapnel and repair organs. K9 Halligan is currently in care at an emergency veterinary facility, while he is stable we still are unsure if he will need further surgeries. Our goal is to help financially over the next few months as both K9 Halligan and his handler will have a lengthy recovery. In addition, we would love to be able to help provide other safety resources for the police department and their dogs. Any gift is generous and will be 100% vetted to further the safety and well being of our officers, canine and human. Most of the officers are very under compensated for the time and resources they put into their dogs. Thank you for your donation!

In person donations can be dropped off at Tabbs Creek Animal Hospital, 905 Williamsboro Street Oxford NC 27565.
