K-9 for Rifle Police Department

Our son , Carter, recently completed a 4H project that pertained to law enforcement canines. Carter had the opportunity to interview Rifle Police Department Officer’s Duncan and Sgt. K. Wilson about the departments K9 program. Carter was greatly inspired by these great men. During the interview, Carter learned that Tulo, the current and only K9 officer for the Rifle Police Department, is nearing his retirement. Carter immediately decided that he wanted to help with the purchase of new K9’s for the department. The department needs help to ensure the future of the K9 program. The department would like to purchase two puppies to add to the program, that will be trained by the departments K9 handlers. The puppies will be trained to detect illegal drugs, recover evidence, and track and search for people. Since 2010, the Rifle Police Department K9 Program has been a huge part of the Community of Rifle. Tulo can and has been seen at many public engagements, attends educational classes at the local schools, and is probably the best known officer of the department. Please help Carter and the Rifle Police Department ensure the future of this amazing program.
