In Loving Memory of Rodney: A Life Full of Heart, Gone Too Soon

On June 7, 2025, at 4:25 pm PST, we lost someone incredibly special, my brother, Rodney. His passing has left a deep void in our lives and in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Rodney was more than just a brother. He was a husband, father, friend, cousin, and so much more. Rodney was the kind of person who could light up any room with his presence, always the first to lend a hand, offer a kind word, or crack a joke just when you needed it most. He had a sarcastic edge too, which runs in the family. LoL! Whether he was helping a neighbor fix a car, giving advice to a younger sibling, or simply showing up for the people he loved — Rodney gave his all, always.

Rodney was a constant source of strength and love. Now, in his absence, we find ourselves not only grieving the loss of someone irreplaceable but also facing the unexpected financial burden of funeral and memorial expenses while trying to figure out everything else. It is a process and now his wife is also facing unpaid leave while trying to navigate and figure how to cover the days ahead. It is very difficult process as you can imagine.

We are reaching out to our community — to those who loved Rodney, who knew his generosity and warmth — to ask for help during this incredibly difficult time. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward covering funeral home expenses and providing some relief for our family as we navigate this heartbreaking moment.

Rodney may no longer be with us in person, but his spirit, his love, and his impact will never fade. Let’s come together to honor his memory and give him the farewell he deserves.
