Hello to all of Molly's mates.
Most of you will know that earlier this week, Molly had a nasty accident and sustained a break to one of her hind legs, below the existing total hip replacement. It was not known until later on quite how catastrophic that break was.
When it first came to light how serious the situation truly was, Katie & Emma were told that there was nothing to be done and they should consider euthanasia. Since this devastating news, a glimmer of hope that surgery was in fact possible, if a super specialist orthopaedic vet was willing and available to try.
Luckily, such a person exists, though naturally this comes at a substantial cost. Since a few of you have asked about it, this GoFundMe has been set up to help pay for Molly's vet fees.
From Katie and Emma: This girl is literally our world. Every single failed IVF round, the death of two of our babies, when Katie was redeployed in the height of an unknown global virus. When Emma suffers terrible mental health flashbacks - Molly would plonk her backside next to our feet and refuse to move until we start stroking her, which in turn always made us feel better.
Anyone who meets her gets a toy to look at (don’t touch) and a happy little song from her. She collapses on her back and demands belly rubs from every man that goes near her and sings the song of her people.
We can’t stop fighting for her. If it wasn’t fair then, of course, we would make the tough call. But up until yesterday, she was chasing Emma’s work dogs around the field, barking at fresh air and squirrels and doing countless twists for as many treats as she can eat.
So Miss Molly, we will get you bloody sorted even we have to sell one of our kidneys! The lord has blessed us with being your mums and I thank God everyday for you XxX
