Support Danette’s Fight Against Cancer

Danette has always been an avid traveler and has made the gym, yoga, and outdoor activities part of her everyday active lifestyle. Since she was young, she found that healthy diet and exercise gave her strength, confidence, flexibility, and stamina. Although she started her family in Colorado, her incredible health and love for the beach carried her to live out her dreams on the coast of North Carolina in 2016. Since then, our mom has been enjoying retirement and has found a passion for a painting hobby which has turned into a successful painting business. She is a self-taught painter and has already won awards and recognition for her work, including a gallery on the jumbotron in Times Square!

In January of 2025, our world was turned upside down and all that was put on hold when our mom was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer. She has since left her new beach house in North Carolina to be with us, her two kids, in Colorado during treatment. Danette is currently on a chemotherapy treatment plan, but her diabetes and several other complications have made treatment difficult. We’re doing everything we can to fight back and get our mom home. All support is greatly appreciated, and any donations will be used for the following:

• Medical expenses, medications, and supplies

• Cancer treatment including chemotherapy

• Past and future surgeries

• Hospital and ER visits

• Travel costs and living expenses

• Home care

• Support for Danette and her family

We continue to seek the best treatment for our mom, and she doesn’t believe she came this far in life to only come this far. We believe that with Danette’s determination and unfaltering positivity along with the continued support of our family and friends, we will get her back to her North Carolina dream home, where she can sink her feet into the warm beach sand and continue to paint to spread joy and inspiration through her unique paintings.
