Hi everyone. I have been extremely hesitant to do this, but I am at stand still. I am going to share the story of my beloved puppy, Bowie. Since the day he came into my life, Bowie has faced a series of health challenges that have tested our resilience and strained our resources.

The day after we brought him home at nine weeks, Bowie was diagnosed with two types of worms and a parasite. After four months of treatment, we managed to eradicate the pests, but they had already caused significant damage, burrowing into his muscle tissue and making removal a difficult and lengthy process.

Just as we thought Bowie was on the road to recovery, he developed a persistent limp. Despite numerous visits to the vet, anti-inflammatory medications, and painkillers, his condition did not improve. After months of uncertainty and mounting expenses, Bowie was diagnosed with genetic rickets, double elbow dysplasia, and hip dysplasia at only eight months old.

Since then, Bowie has been on a regimen of medications to manage his pain and support his bone development. However, our hopes were dashed once again when Bowie began urinating blood two weeks ago. Despite numerous tests and vet visits, the cause of his condition remains a mystery. We have completed ultrasounds, radiographs, blood tests, cultures, rectal exams, etc., with no answer. Bowie has now lost his appetite and the vet is extremely concerned.

The vet believes the emergency vet will be of more assistance with his complex case. We are now faced with the difficult decision of whether to continue taking Bowie to the emergency vet for more advanced tests, knowing that the cost will be substantial, or to not. To date, we have already accumulated over $5,000 in debt from Bowie's vet visits, tests, and medications. We have also exhausted our savings accounts in our efforts to provide him with the care he needs. He is only 10 months old.

Bowie is more than just a pet; he is a cherished member of our family. He is a playful, loving, and loyal companion who has brought immeasurable joy into our lives. We desperately want to see him live a long happy and healthy life.
