Support a Safe Home for Our Family

Hello, I'm Gale & I am asking for donations to help myself, husband & grandchild to move from a rental that is full of mold & plumbing issues into a home that I have acquired through a land contract. We have spent several weeks removing garbage, personal belongings from previous tenants, updating electrical, fixing plumbing, we have insulation, we just need the drywall & someone to install, I can paint . My husband is very limited on what he can do, he has diabetes, congestive heart failure, his kidneys are at 16%, blood clots in both legs, mild COPD, has injuries to both feet that keep getting infected, he's been in and out of the hospital several times the past few years, survived sepsis a few times,had a major heart attack, had diabetic ketoacidosis twice & he still tries to do! I watch my husband struggle to breath some days, he gets so tired, feels weak...at times can hardly walk, & he never gives up, I tell him all the time stay home today, give your body a rest & he just tells me I need to get you & my granddaughter in a home of your own before I die, " I can't leave things as they are". My husband has been working since he was 9 yrs old, he learned the electrical trade from his Father, he's worked so hard & long his whole life and is too proud to ask for help & was not too happy with me creating a go fund me to help us finish up the house, I'm not too proud to ask for help, taking some burden off my husband's shoulders would be a blessing to me, he's having a very difficult time doing the work himself, & I'm not much help because I'm working full time as a personal care aid, I help when I can. So I'm asking for help to purchase drywall & pay someone to install it so we can move in to our home Thank you so much!
