Funeral & Memorial Expenses

To everyone who may not yet have heard the news, my uncle Francisco Perez , a beloved father and husband passed away yesterday evening from Cancer. His wife and daughter Priscilla were with him when he passed, but are devastated and stressed coming up with the money needed for the funeral expenses. 

His tough battle started back in 2010 when he was diagnosed with colon cancer. He was then diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2011, and rectal cancer in 2013. He then had a relapse in 2015 and was diagnosed with lung cancer, which eventually spread to his bones and brain. As you can imagine it has been a stressful and painful time for his family to have witnessed his suffering. Despite the hardships, Francisco always maintained a positive mindset and he never failed to put a smile on everyone’s face. His good humor and kind heart will greatly be missed.

Funeral plans are still being arranged, and any updates regarding locations and times will be posted here. However we do know that we want to do the best we can to help with the upcoming funeral expenses, hospital bills and even help with future bills until they are able to get back on their feet.

We have already had numerous emails, texts and messages from people asking how to help, So here it is!

As you are all aware, due to Francisco’s illness he has been unable to work for several months and  this has created a huge financial burden leaving his wife to be the only provider for her daughter.  I am certain we can all do something to help, if you are unable to donate, please help our family by simply just sharing this post with your friends, family and help spread the word.

Para todos los que quizás aún no hayan escuchado las noticias, mi tío Francisco Pérez, un amado padre y esposo, falleció ayer por la noche de Cáncer. Su esposa y su hija Priscilla estaban con él cuando él falleció, pero están devastadas y estresadas con el dinero necesario para los gastos del funeral.

Su dura batalla comenzó en 2010 cuando fue diagnosticado con cáncer de colon. Luego le diagnosticaron cáncer de páncreas en 2011 y cáncer de recto en 2013. Luego tuvo una recaída en 2015 y le diagnosticaron cáncer de pulmón, que eventualmente se extendió a sus huesos y cerebro. Como pueden imaginar, ha sido un momento estresante y doloroso para su familia haber presenciado su sufrimiento. A pesar de las dificultades, Francisco siempre mantuvo una actitud positiva y nunca dejó de sonreír a todos. Su buen humor y su corazón amable serán extrañados.

Todavía se están organizando planes funerarios, y cualquier actualización con respecto a ubicaciones y horarios se publicará aquí. Sin embargo, sí sabemos que queremos hacer todo lo posible para ayudar con los próximos gastos funerarios, facturas del hospital e incluso ayuda con facturas futuras hasta que puedan recuperarse.

Ya hemos recibido numerosos correos electrónicos, mensajes de texto y mensajes de personas que nos preguntan cómo ayudar, ¡así que aquí está!

Como todos saben, debido a la enfermedad de Francisco, no ha podido trabajar durante varios meses y esto ha creado una enorme carga financiera que deja a su esposa como única proveedora de su hija. Estoy seguro de que todos podemos hacer algo para ayudar, si no puede donar, ayude a nuestra familia simplemente compartiendo esta publicación con sus amigos, familiares y ayude a correr la voz.
