Hi everyone,

I never thought I would have to create something like this, but I’m here asking for help on behalf of my best friend and her family during one of the most painful and devastating times of their lives.

Her grandfather’s passing was sudden, traumatic, and completely unexpected. He had gone missing for several days until a bystander found him unconscious and called 911. He was rushed to the hospital with a head injury and a fractured finger. There are still so many unanswered questions about how this all happened. Tragically, just one day after being admitted, he passed away due to hyperthermia from being exposed to the freezing cold for so long.

This loss has shattered the family.

If you knew her grandfather, you knew he was a truly loving and caring soul. He had a presence that filled a room — warm, kind, supportive, and full of positive energy. He made people feel safe, loved, and seen. He leaves behind his beloved wife, who is also very ill, his children, his grandchildren, and so many people who loved him deeply. He was taken far too soon — it was not his time to go.

My best friend has been forced to carry an unimaginable burden. She has covered everything — from medical bills, to funeral expenses, and is now doing everything she can to support her grandmother during this heartbreaking time. Emotionally, physically, and financially, this has been overwhelming.

I am asking for help to assist her with the remaining expenses and the ongoing support her family needs. Any donation, no matter how small, will make a difference. Even if you are unable to donate, simply sharing this fundraiser means more than you know.
