Help a student who's car got hit

Hi everyone, my name is Beng, this account is under my girlfriend's name as she has an SSN to withdraw the donations. On September 18, 2016, I had merged into a freeway when a reckless driver sped past me and cut me off from the left side of my vehicle. The driver was extremely aggressive and told me that I would be at fault because the damage was on the back of his vehicle. I called the police and made it clear that my vehicle was hit. However, 5 months later, the report put me at fault for the accident because the damage was on the back of his vehicle. What made it more difficult for me was that my insurance company did not want to cover the incident as they said that they had problems getting money from my bank account during that month. Because of this, the other party's insurance company hired a money collection company to harass me for money. They sent me a letter asking for around $2500 and have been calling me almost everyday. 


They have been threatening me over the phone and if I am unable to pay within 30 days they would take me to court. I am an international student who came to the US to learn and contribute to society. I came here with very little money that I saved up after working for a year am I have been struggling financially. The incident has put me under immense stress and anxiety. I am trying to negotiate with them to reduce the amount but I really need at least $1800 to at least cover some expenses. I really appreciate any donations and I will definitely repay my debt of gratitude to all of you one day.
