Hello my name is Susan and I am starting this fundraiser for my sister, Sheilah. Sheilah found out in May 2024 that she has triple negative breast cancer. It is one of the rarest forms of breast cancer and one of the toughest to fight. While this diagnosis is bad enough, it is harder again because her mammogram one year ago called for a biopsy. Unfortunately she never got the call to have this done. As such the cancer went undetected for a stretch before being diagnosed. The situation has rocked our family to the core. Sheilah will be on disability for at least six months while she continues treatment. My sister is a single income earner and being on disability will make it very challenging to keep up with her bills. She is very proud and is doing all she can to take care of herself and her home. She is talking of selling once her treatments are over and the prospect of her having to give up her home under these circumstances seems incredibly unfair. I love my sister with all my heart and want her to be able to stay where she is if that is what she chooses. This is what she deserves. If you are able to help, please do.
