Hi! My name is Ada. I'm raising funds for my dear friend Amcheriea Robertson. May I take a moment and introduce you to my friend. Amcheriea Robertson has devoted over 25 years serving the needs of individuals within the community; throughout Vermont in Franklin, Windsor and Chittenden Counties. Her skills and expertise, acquired with her work in human service that involved care giving and teaching speaks volumes to her demeanor, strength of character and resilience!

She has been trustworthy dependable and reliable to all in her care. Amcheriea was a former employee of The Howard Center, NCSS, Franklin County Home Health, Windsor County Youth Services, Spectrum and COTS. Throughout the years she

diligently provided care with empathy and compassion for exceptional individuals in need. As well as providing optimum support and personal care for individuals with disabilities in homes and in the community.

Helping others has been Amcheriea’s passionate signature.

About 22 years ago my Friend Amcheriea Robertson was diagnosed with an inherited degenerative eye disease Kerataconus. In the past six months the disease has significantly progressed in her eyes, which sadly has her rapidly going blind. Throughout the years she was told by doctors that once the disease progressed beyond a certain point she would have to have corneal transplants. However recently she came across information about Dr Boxer Wachler and the procedure Holcomb C3-R cross linking and intac. This procedure will preserve her eyes by slowing down the progression of the disease and give her back her vision, and prevent her from having corneal transplants.

However the procedure is very costly and not covered by insurance. I am establishing a go fund me for her to offset the expense.
