Our dear friends Pam and Rob Pocock could really use our assistance. They are not asking for it, but we know that they are in need of it.

Pam and Rob had a serious car accident on March 19th as they were driving in Brea, not too far from their home. Rob suffered a medical issue which led to the accident, and after some tests and treatment at the hospital, he was released the same day. Aside from pain and bruising, Rob escaped serious injury.

Pam, however, sustained 7 broken ribs and head injuries including a concussion and two lacerations that required staples and stitches. She is currently hospitalized at UCI Medical Center (Trauma Center).  She is being evaluated further this weekend to ensure that there is no lung puncture or other broken bones.  As you might imagine, the pain is intense and her recovery will be a journey.

We are deeply grateful that they survived this accident and now want to ease the forthcoming financial burden of hospital bills and/or rehabilitation expenses. As you know, Pam is now retired from her teaching position, and Covid created a challenging environment for Rob's real estate work. In addition, Rob will require some time to recover from his physical trauma in the next couple of weeks as he takes on the role of assisting Pam in her recovery. In essence, then, they will be needing to pay many bills with one income.

To say that Pam and Rob have always been generous with their resources is an understatement. We can say with confidence that if her friends, colleagues, or students were facing a similar situation as they currently face, Pam and Rob would be the first in line to offer some support.
