Julia's Recovery

My sister Julia struggled with ulcerative colitits as an adolescent and had her colon removed after years of fighting. She was given a j pouch to replace her colon and has lived with little to no trouble for the last 10 years. On February 26th, she was rushed to the hospital after severe stomach pains and learned that she needed emergency surgery to fix an obstruction in her bowel. While in recovery, she began noticing symptoms of increased heart rate and decreased white blood cell count. She was then moved to Kaiser in Woodland Hills to meet with other specialists. In a matter of hours, we were informed that Julia had become septic since the previous surgery and that most of her intestine was failing. The doctors had to quickly perform another surgery to remove the infected area and put her into an induced coma. Now we ask for your help and blessings for our family in this time of need.
