Hello friends, family, and strangers!

My name is Leo, and I'm a college student pursuing a degree in library and information sciences. I am reaching out to my community to help raise funds for top surgery.

I'm scheduled for surgery in January, and am trying to raise as much as I can between now and then.

I've been daydreaming about top surgery since I was a teenager. My insurance has never covered top surgery, and saving up on my own has been an arduous process with lots of stops and starts. With the current uncertain future of trans healthcare in the US, I decided to go ahead without insurance, using what savings I have.

I've been an avid swimmer since I was old enough to get in the water, but stopped during my first puberty. Now, when I do swim, it's in a mermaid tail- I adore mermaiding, but I'm not able to embrace the showiness that comes with the hobby. I miss swimming. I miss being able to go to the beach without being overly conscious of my chest. I'm at a point in my life where I want to be comfortable in my own body.
