Goose’s Emergency Vet Bills

Hi there, you probably know me from my content online but, if not, my name is Ashantéa. I have a sweet angel cat named Goose who is the sweetest girl ever. I rescued her just a little over 3 years ago when I was living in Canada. Since then we have relocated to Los Angeles where she’s been so happy with the warmer weather.

Last night goose began acting odd she didn’t finish her dinner and didn’t like being held, which is very unlike her. But other than that she seemed okay. However today she quickly deteriorated from being a healthy cat in the blink of an eye—her breathing was shallow and she was lethargic. I immediately rushed her to the vet not long after she began having multiple seizures. They had to pump her little tummy and suspected she was having kidney failure. She was immediately given the best care and is stable for now thank god. Goose is currently being held at the vet overnight and will continue to be administered fluids and get more tests done including bloodwork, urinalysis, spinal fluid testing, and potentially a MRI.

With all that said, today has been my absolute worst nightmare. And I have since found out that these vet bills are not eligible to be covered by her pet insurance because of our move out of Canada. Her bill for just today is currently $2,055 and will likely be higher in the coming days as the vets work to find the source of her illness. I will pay anything to get her better of course but all these expenses are incredibly unexpected for me. I would thoroughly appreciate anyone’s help via sharing or donating.
