Friends of Rwandan Rugby

Friends of Rwandan Rugby is a small charity aiming to give young Rwandan children a chance to play rugby. Currently schools in Rwanda do not prioritise physical education as an essential part of the curriculum. They see it as a chance to focus on maths and english. School days in Rwanda are very long often including 15 lessons a day. This is very long and draining for kids. The charity aims to provide more sports to kids in Rwanda. In 1994 Rwanda experienced a genocide causing 98% of children to witness violence. It left a sour taste in sports for the country. With the introduction to Rugby it has given the country a fresh start in sports. £1 will pay for 1 child to receive 1 year's coaching from one of our RDOs
