Deward was one the the greatest human beings you'd ever want to meet. He was funny, taught himself to do a hundred different hobbies, freely gave others his time and expertise, and was a devoted husband. Deward was one of the best fly tiers in the world. He was known for tying "Realistic" flies that were so close to actual insects that most people couldn't tell they were fake. Whenever anyone had a question, or needed advice in the Fly Fishing world, Deward was there to help. Deward was admitted to the hospital, and spent almost a week in the ICU accumulating tens of thousands of dollars in hospital bills. He died unexpectedly on September 5th 2021. Every penny of this fundraiser will go to his wife to help offset the costs of high medical bills, and to help her get her life organized after such a tragic event.
