Help save my life.

Hi. My name is Cliff Jansen and I could use your help. On October 9th, 2022 for some unknown reason I fainted in my livingroom. I woke up face down sometime later (thank God I woke up) and could bearly move my legs and arms. I laid there wondering what the hell just happened. After about a few minutes of panic and crying I told myself Cliff you have to calm down if your going to survive this. I then looked the room over and spotted my cell phone. My first mission was to get to that phone. At first I could move my limbs a couple inches, then a few more, I kept fighting to move them around until I finally felt I could crawl! Boom I made it to my phone and immediately laid back down. I laid there just breathing hyper focused, what now Cliff? I should of called an ambulance but not knowing the severity of my injury I called my neighbor to take me to the hospital. This whole time I've been working my limbs getting more and more movement back. So I summoned all my strength and somehow made out to my neighbors truck. I then again took all my strength and staggered into the ER. By then due to nerve pain my arms felt like they were burning on fire. I couldn't help but scream in pain. Now in the care of the hospital they find I have broken my neck and severely damaged my spinal cord. So Emergency surgery it is to fix and stabilize my neck. But here's the kicker while explaining that I had to have a surgery to fix my neck the doctor also tells me that they have discovered a tumor at the base of my brain. Thankfully it is benign. The first few weeks of recovery have gone amazingly well but sadly I now I have an Staph infection that we are hoping to get undercontrol. What we thought was us catching the infection early turned out to be much worse. When the doctor inserted a q-tip into the infected area on my incision what we thought was swelling from the surgery was actually fluid slowly filling the top of my back and as it all drained my back deflated. With antibiotics and a vacuum thing sucking out the infection there is hope they won't have go back in and do another operation. So that is the Neck situation.

I met with my doctor and started the tumor discussion it is slow growing but large and located in a bad spot. Right now the plan is to monitor me for symptoms and do another MRI in few months to learn the growth rate or if it's growing at all so we can decide treatment. The doctor has said it will be difficult and complex to remove and that will be the last choice. Right now he is hoping that just gamma knife treatment will be the most that is necessary.

Lastly there is the question of why I fainted. In addition to the accident I have come close a few other times recently. I'm going to be wearing a heart monitor soon to try and find some answers.

I'm only at the beginning and even with insurance I already owe just shy of 10,000 in medical bills and it is only going to go up from there. Also at this point I have know idea when I'll be able to work again. I have never been the type of person who would ever consider asking for help with this but I'm fighting to save my life and livelihood. I believe in hard work and have done so and sacrificed so much to build a good future and I'm hoping to stop it from slipping away.

I thank and appreciate everyone who has given me the time to read this.
