Hi everyone,

I’m raising funds for my masters in The Netherlands. I come from Georgia and being a queer person is becoming very difficult day by day and I think leaving for a study instead of asking for asylum is a better option for me, as I have already done that 5 years ago and unfortunately I was denied it.

I don’t want to play the victim card but living here in Georgia has always been a challenge for me, because I was forced to attempt suicide because my father found out about my sexuality and threatened to kill me with a gun, which led to me jumping from my house window on the 8th floor.

I could never express my true self in my country and I know if I were given this opportunity of leaving my country, I would grab it and not take it granted. I want to live in the Netherlands because I know how close I am to this country, because I’ve been studying its language, culture, history since I had become a bachelor student.
