Hi, we are creating this go fund me for our brother, Jack Kelly.
Jack has recently been diagnosed with Embryonal Carcinoma - a rare aggressive form of testicular cancer that developed as a Foetus.
On the 15th of October Jack was admitted into hospital after being seen in emergency on the 14th. After nearly a week of scans and tests he received the devastating diagnosis on the 19th of October. His biopsy results returned with Embryonal Carcinoma (Testicular Cancer) and that it has already spread to his lymph nodes resulting in a large tumour in his abdomen and a tumour in his neck. Over the next 2 days more scans and tests were conducted and on the 21st of October his Oncologist called us in for a meeting with more devastating news that the cancer has also spread to his suprarenal gland. Chemotherapy needed to begin immediately. Jack was then transferred to Calvary Mater Hospital and within hours his First round of BEP Chemotherapy started that afternoon.
Jack was released from hospital on the 26th of October, his first round looked promising but like life at the moment it’s unpredictable and on the 28th he was admitted back in hospital. He spent the next few days in hospital with his partner Montana by his side and on Sunday he was given a blood transfusion. Monday the 31st came around and Jack was feeling a lot better and was released from hospital.
As you can only imagine this has turned not only Jacks life upside down but also his partner Montana. At this stage we have no idea what the future holds, Chemo is expected to run for the next 12 weeks.
Both Jack and Montana up until the 14th were both working full time and in a blink of an eye that was taken away; Jack can’t work as his undergoing treatment and Montana can’t work as she needs to care for him.
On top of all of this, on the morning of the 5th of November a reckless drunk driver crashed into jacks car that was parked in our driveway and did thousands of dollars worth of damage that he (the driver) will not be able to pay for.
So lastly, after a lot of reluctance from Jack about asking for help he has given us permission to post this. Any donation big or small would be forever appreciated.
Thank you, Miranda & Nikki
