On June 16, 2023, my Mom, Kelly, was diagnosed with advanced Endometrial cancer. Due to her symptoms, she had a brief hospital stay following this diagnosis from June 19 - June 22, 2023. Since then she has started her treatment plan which consists of chemotherapy and possibly surgery.
For each chemo session, she is receiving an infusion consisting of 3 drugs (carboplatin, patlitaxel and dostarlimab) every three weeks for six sessions. Following this "cycle", there will be a second cycle with just one drug. Frequency and duration have not yet been determined.
She has received her port and completed her first infusion on July 25, 2023. She had very mild side effects the day of and day after her infusion. As the days went on, her side effects became more difficult to cope with. Please continue to send prayers and good energy as we navigate these side effects and prepare for the remaining sessions in the first cycle of chemo.

Looking ahead, we do foresee unexpected costs to continue her insurance coverage via COBRA as well as copays for treatment and medications. We will be using this page to fundraise to cover those expenses. We appreciate any donations, large or small, and any words of encouragement as Kelly continues this journey of healing and recovery.
