Hello everyone my name is Jason and I'm making this go fund me for my mom. Those of you that are close me know that my mom recently was in the hospital for 88 days. Having already suffered from COPD, she went in for her appendix, which perforated which snowballed into being intubated for 16 days , put on dialysis coming out of intubation ,coming out of ICU to be put on a high flow taken off ,back to high flow and now luckily she's home ,but very weak but alive. A lot of people wrote my mom off. They said I was in denial. They said I needed to face the fact that she wasn't coming out of there. I smiled, I know my mom. Sadly she is on a high flow of oxygen at home she is basically confined to a 50 foot hose oxygen concentrator in the house. The tanks, portable, heavy, take three hours to fill each one and add her level of oxygen last about 20 minutes on an appointment I have to bring three or four tanks and that's borrowing a tank at the appointment. She suffered so much she deserves better quality of life, the reason I'm making this go fund me is for the Inogen G5, which is a portable oxygen concentrator battery operated that should be covered under insurance, believe me, I tried, but it's not for the level of oxygen she needs this device would give her freedom and peace of mind and mind you it does have a double battery but at her level of oxygen needs it would give her three hours. Three hours on a full charge is still better than 20 minutes, I can't tell you the panic of driving my mom and the tank of oxygen finishes and you know within minutes her oxygen level is going to go down . It's paralyzing,. I'm hoping that by opening up and sharing my personal experience, knowing the karma that I've put out there in the universe that maybe somehow some of it ,gets returned not for me but for my mom.
