Alejandro's Cancer Treatment

Howdy! My name is Alejandro Salgado and I have been diagnosed with testicular cancer.
About Me
I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. I grew up in a rough neighborhood in inner-city Houston where success for most people was almost impossible. With the help of my family and with hard work I was able to excel in academics ahead of my peers and I made the concious decision to join the United States Army. I proudly served in the Army for 3 years and 11 months, and from that time I spent 12 months in the Middle East in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. I finished my contract with the Army in April of 2014.
I am currently studying Maritime Administration at Texas A&M Galveston and I completed my first semester in 2014. Everything was going great until I received some terrible news.
On December 23rd, 2014 I was diagnosed with testicular cancer.
I will be having surgery on January 15, 2015 to remove a tumor. The doctor's prognosis is uncertain until the operation. As a student veteran I cannot meet the financial obligations of paying for all of my treatments alone. I come here asking for help.
I want to thank my friends and family for all the support you have given me thus far. I simply ask for your generosity and I want to thank y'all again for your thoughts and prayers as I go through this rough point in my life.
