Help Mom Fight Breast Cancer

Hello my name is Christine Ellis and I'm writing on behalf of our mom Sinnidor Brice. After 38 years of being cancer free, mom was given the dreadful news that cancer was once again showing it's ugly head.

Mom came in to visit from the Bahamas on July 1 to care for me as I recovered from mastectomy surgery. She had her usual yearly mammogram only this time we were called into the doctors office to get the results. This was followed up with a ultrasound and biopsy. August 23 the surgeon confirmed, it's cancer stage 2 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. Her surgery is scheduled for September 3, 2021.

Mom is 85 years young! Prior surgeries were planned and funds saved to cover debt or insurance in place... well this one snuck up on us. Since I'm recovering and heading back to work, after 6 months, it is more doable for mommy to be cared for here. It broke my heart today to see her cry. I realize the reality of this illness just hit her. While we are both women of strong faith, and have overcome many struggles, mom is extremely concerned about how she is going to pay for all of this on such short notice, She is very independent and like to be prepared.

A few friends encouraged me to put my pride aside and set up this donation page. Mom is always willing to help others. She has given years of service to Children's Theatre, weekly Bible clubs, Prison ministry ,The Gideon's , her husband and family, also taken in many kids and adults to our home until they could get on the feet again.

As most of you know, recently my husband had to take a year of from work and is still in recovery from stage 4 colon cancer. We both had insurances in place but with so many copays and outrageous medical debt while maintaining a household, we are unable to help her like we have in the passed at this time . If you are able to assist my family in covering some of the cost of mom's unexpected surgery, oncologist and treatments your generosity and kindness would be much appreciated.
