Rally for David Mikulski's Road to Recovery

Hello all. I am Jaclyn, David Mikulski's daughter. I am helping start this GoFundMe to help my father and mother out with the incoming medical and future medical expenses that are going to be happening. My father has always been someone to step up and help others whenever he could and never asks anything in return. Now, he could really use it in return, anything no matter how small would be a tremendous help.

He just rang the bell and beat prostate cancer earlier this year and like he always does each year, he signed up to ride in the Ride for Roswell to raise money for cancer research. This year it was extra special being that he had just beat cancer himself. During the ride sadly he was involved in a serious accident, and broke his neck, and that has left him almost completely paralyzed and in the hospital. Now he is having to be rehabilitated to learn how to do everything again. He isn't able to walk on his own and struggles with just learning to be able to use his arms to do everyday tasks. He works extremely hard every single day to regain his strength and movement and keeps a positive attitude through all these extremely hard and painful days. We know that a lot of medical expenses are coming in the future but right now we just are telling him to stay focused on himself, and we will handle the rest for him.

We know that he has a lot of changes coming in the future with the house needing things to be fixed to accommodate him, along with a wheelchair, and possible a handicapped accessible van.
