Happy Holidays from the Gamecock Rowing Club!

As the semester closes and the holiday season arrives, we’re reflecting with gratitude on an incredible milestone: completing our first full season as a fully independent, student-run organization at the University of South Carolina.

This year, our team has grown in strength, spirit, and community—and we’re excited to keep that momentum going into the new year. One of our biggest goals for the upcoming season is to purchase a new 4-person boat, fully owned and maintained by our club. This addition will expand our training opportunities, elevate our competitive edge, and support us as we prepare for major regattas such as Clemson Sprints, John Ferris Sprints, and the Head of the Hooch.

In the spirit of the holidays, we invite you to help us take this next big step. As a student-run organization, we rely entirely on the dedication of our members and the generosity of supporters like you. With allocations being reduced for many sport clubs at USC—including ours—we’re asking our community to embrace the giving spirit now more than ever. Every gift directly strengthens our program, empowers student athletes, and helps build a lasting foundation for the future of GRC.
