Hi, my name is Angel Mollel and I am a senior at Brighton High School in Colorado. Just a little about me. I was born in a small Maasai village in Northern Tanzania. Growing up in a traditional Maasai village was very challenging and even the basic necessities were hard to come by. Most children do not have the opportunity to go to school, but thankfully my father valued education; and while he could not afford to send all his children to school, I was lucky to be chosen to attend a small school in the next village.
In 2012 I was given the amazing opportunity to come to the US from Tanzania to pursue a better education and life. My biological parents made a huge sacrifice for me to have this opportunity.
I came to the US in the 5th grade and now I'm close to graduation from Brighton HS this May, 2020. I would love nothing more than to be able to share this experience with my parents. I would love for them to meet my friends, see the life I have here in the US, but mostly to share this special day with me.
Thank you to everyone who has already supported me so much throughout my journey, I couldn't have done it without you!!
