This is Zelda Fitzgerald Coston, 
although no formal introductions are necessary, as you've probably already met her--at Findlay Market, in a flower box, on a barstool, in the park or in a parade--she has been my loyal, faithful and constant companion for some time now.
Winner of Second Sundays on Main Dog days "best kiss" as well as "best trick," she also (sort of) lit the Christmas Tree in Washington Park in 2014.
Unfortunately Zelda had some severe heart issues recently that lead her to the emergency room and cardio clinic. She is still there now at least for the next 24 hours or more. More unfortunately, this is not the type of major care that comes cheap (or was anticipated/budgeted).
As such Zelda and I are looking for some assistance to defray some but not all of the costs incurred and to be incurred in this medical care.
Like I said, Zelda has been my most consistent and constant companion for some time now, through good times and bad, and she has spread her joy throughout our city and neighborhood. And I would not be able to sleep at night (or in the day, for that matter) if I did not do everything I could to help her.
And, as noted above, this type of medical care does not come cheap (not at all), so on behalf of Zelda, Merlin and myself, I am humbly asking for assistance to help this beautiful pup--whatever you can.
