Support for one of our own!

If you don’t know Dawna, she is one of our nighttime jailers. She has been with the agency for close to three years. Dawna is one of the hardest working individuals in her division. She not only gives her all at work, she would likely give you the shirt off her back or her last dollar if you needed it. Her family is going through a challenging time right now and the best way we can help, in addition to the strongest prayers you have, is to lend some financial support. Dawna’s husband has been admitted to MUSC for over five months waiting on a heart transplant. He received a new heart on Sept 29th, but it has been a very bumpy recovery for him. Gas, food, sporadic lodging is what has to be paid for when she is with her husband, but there are also expenses at home with her three children. The road to recovery will be a long one for Dawna’s husband. Please give what your can to help ease some of the burden on her while she balances being home with her children or at her husband’s side as she is the sole income of the family. She is humble and would never ask for a thing, but I would love if we could lift some of the financial burden as an agency. She doesn’t know about this fundraiser, but I will send her access in a couple of days. Please be thoughtful if you can give and keep this within the agency at this time, please.
