Help Arlo through surgery

My name is Hannah Ray and my sweet dog Arlo will have to undergo muscle and knee correction surgery, (Cranial Cruciate Ligament Repair).

Last week Arlo experienced a minor allergic reaction from a possible bug bite/allergen, was treated and showed signs of recovery. Until two days later when he was refusing food, water, as well as avoiding putting weight on his back legs. I woke one morning to his entire body shaking/convulsing, and him not being able to get up to use the bathroom.

I took him into the animal ER straight away where they ran full bloodwork, X-rayed his back and legs and treated him for dehydration and a fever. Through these X-Rays we learned that he had torn his ligaments in his hind leg, causing a shift of the knee/shin bones. It is currently a partial tear, that will (like almost all cases of this) tear completely shortly after. Causing him to have no mobility of that leg. Unfortunately, this is a common injury in pitbull breeds.

This is a surgery he will have to undergo immediately to avoid causing him more pain and damage. I am a single income household preparing for graduate school and these are fees that I cannot come up with immediately. This is to help Arlo in his surgery, anesthesia, operating room use, hospitalization, medications, check-ups and post-op physical therapy.

These were by far the scariest and saddest moments I have ever experienced in my life. This dog has changed my life and all I ever want to see is him happy and healthy and I am heart broken that my poor boy is in pain. If love was a currency then both Arlo and I would be billionaires. The love someone has for a pet is indescribable. If you are able to give, Arlo and I would appreciate beyond measures the chance for him to live a full and healthy life again.
