Help Brian Beat Cancer

Donation protected
On November 7, 2018, our family found out that Brian Hubbs was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer. As a young and healthy man at the age of 37, this came as quite a shock to everyone. He is a son to Janis and Gary, brother to Jennifer and Jonathan, husband to Stella, a father to his son Dylan, and a relative and friend to countless others. His daughter is due to be born in December.

Brian recently started a new job in the Bay Area, and the medical insurance for him between his jobs puts him in a precarious position. As such, the insurance and medical bills are expected to be very expensive as he begins treatment.

We are setting this GoFundMe page up to help with the costs of his treatment. The road ahead is scary, but we all remain hopeful that Brian will succeed in beating this awful disease. Any donation amount is appreciated and tax deductible, and we highly encourage everyone to please share this page with your friends and family.

Brian is committed to his family, community, and country. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for 5 years. He went on to earn a Master of Arts in Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies from the Middlebury Institute for International Studies at Monterey.

Your donation will go a long way to help ensure Brian lives a long life where he can continue to contribute his love to his family. We thank you so much for your support in this difficult time.

A message from Stella, Brian's wife:

Brian is a loving husband and father that always puts his family first. No matter how long his work day he makes quality time for me and our baby everyday. Brian is a big animal lover especially to our dogs, one who has passed and one who is still with us and does her happy dance every time he comes home.

This diagnosis came as a shock to everyone as he is one of the healthiest people we know. He eats healthy and exercises and encourages the same for his loved ones. As a busy mom it was very hard for me to eat healthy at times as I would just grab what was fast and easy and not always healthy. He would take the time everyday to cook for me and make sure I’m eating healthy. He would always come home from a long day at work and cook, clean, and take care of our baby to help me get a break. On weekends he did yard work among other things that needed to be done. He always had so much energy and drive and it is very difficult for me to see him so weak. He has some very bad symptoms from the cancer which has affected his stomach and liver. His energy levels are so low. It is very hard on him as well, feeling that he can’t do all the things he use to. We have just moved back to the Bay Area which has been a difficult transition and we are grateful for the help we received during this difficult time. We are excited for our daughter to arrive who is due in December.

We are looking forward to starting his chemo and recovery. We are very grateful for your help and donation during this difficult time. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
