Our friend and sister, Michelle, is in serious need of a new HVAC system. She is a new mom with an 8 month old baby who has lived through winter and summer without any proper heating and cooling. As someone who lives on the top floor of her walk-up building, her condo was often hotter inside than the actual temperature outdoors this past summer. Furthermore, as a 17-year resident of her condo, her windows are also in such disrepair that heat often escapes and cold air gets in during the winter. She has a portable air/heat unit in her house, but it has been five years since she purchased it and it now has mold growing on it, not to mention it is cumbersome and takes up valuable space in her apartment. Both of these conditions are not the safest for her baby or herself. With all this, we want to help her and her young son to be more comfortable this coming winter and in the seasons going forward.  As such, we are looking for donations of any size to help her replace her HVAC system.
