As you all know, in November '23 I found out that I had a brain tumor. In a matter of less than 2 weeks, I was diagnosed and in surgery. There was no prep time. My life changed drastically in a matter of days. Since then I have undergone physical, pulmonary, and am now in speech/cognitive therapy. The location of the tumor (frontal lobe) plays a huge role in memory, decision making, coordination, just to name a few. The 3-4 hour surgery lasted almost 7 and at some point there was a "code blue." After the surgery I have experienced shortness of breath and extreme fatigue and am also under the care of both a cardiologist and pulmonologist and have been diagnosed with a pulmonary disease as well. While I am extremely thankful that I don't look like my medical record, I have not worked since 5 days before the surgery in 2023. I have a very supportive family and a hardworking husband but we also have children and living off one income has weighed heavy on our finances. My husband used every single vacation day last year taking me to doctor's appointments, and has still been doing so this year. As we await a decision from disability, I am asking that whoever finds it in their heart to bless us financially to please do so. My grandmother always says "We have not because we ask not" and in a recent service it was said that we only hurt ourselves when we allow pride to stop us from asking for help. I have been trying to "do yall a favor" to make ends meet and it takes a toll on my body. I really need to rest and fully recover. To know me is to know that this is very Big of me to show this type vulnerability. Please know that you will be sowing into good soil and I am already praying that it somehow be returned to you doubled. Prayers or course are also needed, visits wouldn't hurt either.
