Route to Respite

Eight months ago God began an awakening in us. Leah here: When I was a little girl I was resolved that one day, I would purchase a property on a hill and build a place just like what I so desperately needed at that time in my life. And now the time has come! We found a property on Route 309 in Lehigh Valley, PA!  God has given us so many signs that this is the place He desires for us to create a ministry where His people can find respite. Here they will find relief, become restored and return to continue on the path He has called them to. The two-acre property has a barn that is the perfect structure to become a place of respite providing a “short period of rest or relief from something difficult or unpleasant.” The barn’s physical condition symbolizes the work that will be done within the people who find respite at this place. There is much reconstruction work needed to be done to make this a reality. Though this project appears overwhelming in the natural, God calls us to see in the supernatural. 

We are in awe of what He is doing and He has made it evident to us that He wants us to invite others to invest in this God-given dream. At this point, we are seeking funding to complete Phase One. The construction work in this phase will make the barn structurally sound and includes materials and labor for: stabilization, installation of doors and windows, reinforcement of timber, replacement of missing siding, removal of damaged wood, reinforcement of columns, removal of rotting timber, replacement of roof and much more!

As a family, we are purchasing the property and are scheduled to close in December. In order to make this a reality, we must raise the funds for Phase One of the reconstruction by December 18th. We’ll keep you informed along the way through this page, through a YouTube channel and more. We ask you to prayerfully consider how God is calling you to support us.
