Hi my name is Darcie and I am fundraising for my near and dear family friend Heather Koop, who is battling Triple Negative Breast Cancer. Heather will be undergoing Chemotherapy weekly for 3 weeks and then one week off. Sadly the cancer is Inoperable with no radiation. Chemo will change after each round if the previous stops working.

Due to this diagnosis Heather is in need of The GO Fund Me. Heather will be recieving employment insurance - LTD - and collecting EI for the next 16 weeks. Once that runs out, she will have some LTD from her employer, but it will not cover her full rent nor her living expenses. She does not have a driver's license nor a vehicle and she will need to go to and from Penticton to Kelowna every week, twice a week. Once for blood work, then the following day for Chemo.

As Heather is moving from the Coast to Penticton to be near her Mother and Father, the funds will be used to set up of her apartment including the purchase of a bed, top up of her rent, utilities such as hydro, electric and phone, food, any medical expenses that do not fall within the MSP realm, and transportation to and from labs and the hospital in Kelowna.

The prognosis: Although the Oncologist has not used the word "Terminal", this particular diagnosis of Triple Negaative Breast Cancer has a life expectancy of 4-5 years. She is unable to work at this time and it appears based on the stage of the disease, that she will not be able to return given her care requirements.
