Boatner campaign

Hello, my name is Justin Boatner. I am a fully adaptive athlete that does adaptive rowing and getting into adaptive skiing and adaptive cycling. I am physically disabled with an undiagnosed muscular condition, and I have to use a 400 pound wheelchair. But the issue that I face is that there’s no wheelchair accessible vehicle on the market that can accommodate what I do for a living that gives me purpose. I love being active. Adaptive rowing adaptive skiing and adaptive cycling is what gives me purpose in the world. It makes me feel alive. But I can’t do it without the proper vehicle. So I am fundraising for a Chevy Silverado Trail boss that will be converted into a wheelchair accessible vehicle. At first we were planning on going for the Ford F150, but I kept on doing the math and the prices on modifications kept on going up. At that point we would’ve been spending more than $57,000 on it so I’ve decided to change up the campaign. The reason why we were going for the Chevy Silverado 1500 trail boss is because in all likelihood, Virginia will be picking up the cost of the conversion. Because of how sensitive my wheelchair is, they would most likely not go for the modifications so we’ve decided to change up the campaign. On all of that there’s only one company in America that converts trucks and they don’t do trucks made by Ford. So this was a tough change, but at the end of the day we get something that will provide greater independence and more support. So hang in there and continue donating and spreading the word.
