My name is Jennifer. 24 years ago, when I was 28 hears old, I was diagnosed with cervical cancer.

Because of my age, and I already had young children I decided to do everything I could to prevent having reoccurring physical issues.

This meant having a hysterectomy as well as chemo-boosted radiation. (Normal chemo didn't work for this cancer, but it boosted the effects of the radiation.)

Now 24 years later, I have learned that the radiation damage has caused so much damage to my organs. One of my surgeons said it was the worst he's ever seen - an 8 or 9 out of 10.

I had a major abdominal surgery on September 30th, 2025 for.my intestinal system, and I just had a second major abdominal surgery on February 9th of this year for my bladder system.

I was out of work for 5 weeks, and then went back part-time for the next 3 weeks after my first surgery. Now I'm out for another 5 weeks + 3 weeks part-time after this most recent surgery.

I've applied for the new MN Leave, but it still reads 'In Review ', and my bills are starting to pile up.

I hate to ask for help, but I don't want to have to worry about my house bills, having food, or for my medical bills going to collection

Any little bit would help a lot, and make such a difference.
