Help Gigi Recover From Emergency Liver Surgery

Update on Gigi’s Journey Last Tuesday, Gigi went in for emergency surgery after her doctors discovered internal bleeding and a large mass. During surgery, they confirmed that the mass was on her liver and were able to remove about 90% of it. While we are incredibly grateful she made it through the procedure and is now recovering at home, the remaining portion of the mass is cancerous. We are anxiously waiting for pathology results to determine the exact type of cancer and what the next steps for her treatment will look like. For now, Gigi is taking her medications, resting as much as possible, and showing us so much strength with her good appetite and energy. She truly is a little fighter. The financial reality of this has been overwhelming. Between her emergency surgery, hospitalization, and continuing care, her medical expenses have now exceeded $20,000—and we know there will be more costs ahead once her treatment plan is clear. We are beyond grateful for the generosity, kindness, and support we have received so far. Every donation and share helps us give Gigi the chance she deserves to continue her recovery and live as healthy and happy a life as possible.
